Ray Coke Music releases his Treasure Beach Anthem
Ray Coke Music’s latest song Treasure Beach is a vibrant celebration of Treasure Beach’s serene coastal community where the artist has deep roots. The song combines Ray’s (real name Raymie) versatility with reggae influences, uplifting beats and heartfelt lyrics. Dedicated to his late mother, Edith Coke, the song encapsulates personal memories and cultural pride. It is both a personal ode and a universal tribute to the area’s charm and cultural significance that he hopes would make his mother proud.
Now residing in Florida, Ray balances dual passions—working as a jeweler by day and pursuing music by night. This unique blend of professions mirrors his multifaceted identity, seamlessly combining creativity with craftsmanship. With multiple memorable performances over the last 10 years, Ray can often be found performing with his daughters, Rayray and Tavia, a trio better known locally as Ray and the Raylettes.
Like Ray, other artists with ties to Treasure Beach have recently celebrated its charm through music. Zac Jone$ recently released his track, also titled Treasure Beach, which he describes with a certain zeal, “I wanted Treasure Beach to feel like a getaway in a song, and to capture the essence of the place. If you’ve ever been to Treasure Beach you know this is what it feels like”. Zac pays tribute to his deep local roots and the many early memories along the way as tribute to his late grandmother, “Mumsey”.
Similarly, The Mad Yardies featuring Junior Elliott released their well received single Jamaica Love You in late 2020 during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic that was an instant Treasure Beach themed anthem.
