Step Forward for Treasure Beach: Join the TBWG 4K Walkathon!
The Treasure Beach Women’s Group (TBWG) has been a driving force in the community since its founding in 2000, dedicated to empowering women and fostering local development. From building a craft shop that showcases Jamaican artistry to spearheading education, health, and literacy programs, TBWG has continuously evolved to meet the needs of Treasure Beach.
Through resilience and community support, they have rebuilt after challenges like Hurricane Ivan and expanded their impact with initiatives such as computer labs, sewing programs, and cultural performances. Their commitment to progress remains steadfast.
Their next major event, the Annual 4K Walkathon, will take place on February 23, 2025, at 6:30 a.m. This fun and meaningful event helps fund vital programs, including youth initiatives, education, mammogram screenings, community outreach, and more.
Route: King Fisher’s Plaza → Billy’s Bay Old Coffee Shop → Church Road → Back to King Fisher’s Plaza.
