Treasure Beach Women’s Group Organizes Community Beach Clean-Up Day — April 19

The Treasure Beach Women’s Group (TBWG) Benevolent Society invites residents, visitors, and environmental enthusiasts to participate in a Community Beach Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 19, 2025, beginning at 7:00 AM.

The clean-up will focus on four of Treasure Beach’s most cherished coastlines: Great Bay, Calabash Bay, Frenchman’s Bay, and Billy’s Bay. These beautiful beaches, beloved for their natural charm and cultural importance, have seen an increase in marine debris and litter—an issue TBWG aims to tackle head-on with the support of the community.

All are welcome to join the effort! Volunteers are encouraged to bring reusable gloves, bags, and a passion for protecting the environment. Groups and individuals can register their participation by emailing [email protected].

Founded in September 2000, the Treasure Beach Women’s Group Benevolent Society has long been a driving force for community development. Their mission centers around promoting the advancement of women and the well-being of the wider Treasure Beach community through education, income-generating projects, and awareness surrounding women’s health and social issues. This beach clean-up initiative reflects their commitment to environmental stewardship and community pride.

Why Participate?

  • Help preserve the natural beauty of Treasure Beach
  • Protect marine life from hazardous waste
  • Connect with your community for a shared cause
  • Support the ongoing work of the TBWG

Let’s come together to keep our beaches clean, safe, and beautiful—for today and for generations to come.
