Lashings Beach Club Returns

In a triumphant display of community spirit, Lashings Beach Club officially reopened its doors yesterday at noon, marking a significant milestone for Treasure Beach as the town begins to rebuild from the impact of Hurricane Melissa.

As the first customers rolled in, the atmosphere was one of relief and celebration. Seeing establishments open their doors once again is a powerful signal that the South Coast is not just recovering, but is ready to welcome the world back with open arms.

Iconic Charm Remains Intact
For returning guests, the sight of the venue’s famous decor provided a comforting sense of normalcy. The iconic hand-painted wooden signs are standing tall, guiding visitors with their rustic blue and white arrows to the “Tree Top Bar & Grill,” the “Pizzeria,” and “Treasure Buds & Records.” These type of signs along with the ceiling of fame signs at Upper Lashings have long been a hallmark of the property, representing the eclectic, bohemian charm that makes Lashings unique.

Inside, the signature whimsy that Lashings is famous for has survived the storm. The beloved giant teddy bears are back in their rightful spots, lounging on the bamboo sofas. These playful mascots, settled into the comfortable open-air lounge, offer a perfect photo op and symbolize the relaxed, “don’t worry, be happy” attitude that defines the club. It is a space designed for pure relaxation and positive energy, inviting guests to sink into the cushions and let the stress of the past few weeks melt away.

A Feast for the Soul
The kitchen is back in full swing, serving up the comfort food that locals have been craving. The aroma of their unique homemade pizzas with crispy crusts filled the air yesterday, accompanied by the sizzle of juicy Angus beef burgers and fresh, locally caught fish. The bar is fully stocked, pouring cocktails galore to toast the resilience of the community.

Entertainment and Economics
The reopening is about more than just great food; it is about revitalizing the local economy. Supporting local establishments is critical as Treasure Beach rebuilds from the ravages of Hurricane Melissa. Every meal purchased and every room booked helps the community stand back up.

To encourage visitors to stay and support the area, Lashings is offering discounted room rates starting at just $80 USD a night.

The cultural heartbeat of the venue is also returning. Management has confirmed that Vinyl Sundays will be back to spin classic records. Furthermore, holiday excitement is building with the announcement that Rajive, the keyboardist of UB40 fame known locally as “Shaggy,” will be performing live over the festive season.

Open for Business
Lashings Beach Club is now open daily from noon until 10:00 PM. Whether you are coming for the Angus burgers, the live music, or just to hug a giant teddy bear and soak up the beach vibes, everyone is welcome.

As regular patrons filled the bamboo seats yesterday, one thing was clear: The storm may have passed, but the spirit of Treasure Beach is here to stay.
