Beyond Sunset's themed menus
Themed cuisine is one of the specialties Beyond Sunset is known for. In September it served A Taste of Italy, and over Heroes Weekend in October it had a Jamaican Fusion night, followed by a Seafood Night with fresh catches from the Hook-n-Line Fishing Tournament. Mexican Night is the latest in that line.
Themed food nights around Treasure Beach
Beyond Sunset isn't the only place that gives a night of the week its own dish. Around Treasure Beach:
- Taco Tuesday at Jack Sprat Seafood and Pizza, with chicken, fish and shrimp tacos. Ki's on Di Beach has started a Taco Tuesday of its own, so this Tuesday, November 3, there are tacos in two places.
- Stew Peas Thursdays at the Treasure Beach Inn, with sunset drink specials.
- Pinky's Mini Cook Out Sundays at Glamour Puss Bar in Great Bay.
- Healthy Thursday Brunch and Lunch treats from Hold-a-Vibz Café, by pre-order.
- Daily and weekly specials at Grego's Seafood Bar and Grill, and now Thirsty Thursday drink specials too.
- Lunch specials and happy hour at Coco T's Jerk Centre and Bar at Lashings Hub.
And on Thursday mornings, the Treasure Beach Women's Group Farmer's Market in Old Wharf brings fresh produce, baked goods and cooked food.
Next weekend
The Food, Rum and Reggae Festival takes over Treasure Beach next weekend, November 6 to 8, and the town is sold out for it. The festival's artisan village will be full of culinary vendors, which is only fitting: St Elizabeth is Jamaica's bread basket parish, and the food here shows it. Mexican Night makes a good warm-up.
Mexican Night and the festival are on the events calendar, and the week's happenings are in the Treasure Beach Weekly.
