About

Jakes Hotel Restaurant, at Jakes Hotel in Calabash Bay, cooks with what is grown and caught nearby. The kitchen works with local fishermen, farmers and chefs, so the menus change daily to reflect what is fresh. The fish and shellfish come from the water the restaurant looks out over, and the fruit, vegetables and grains from St. Elizabeth, the parish known as the breadbasket of Jamaica. The food is local and seasonal, organic where possible, and the kitchen backs sustainable farming.

Jakes occasionally offers Full Moon parties in Roundhill, when there are enough participants.

The setting adds to the meal: it is well shaded, with lush greenery, a pool and the sea beside it.
